1. How will emerging technology (ie: blogs, videos, e-readers,e-books) affect literacy?
Emerging technology affect literacy because all you're using it the keyboard and your ears and your eyes. You're not using your hands which will affect your literacy ability to write, you're not using your ears which will affect your literacy ability to read. It affects literacy because you don't write nor read because your keyboard helps you, and your just listening so you're not reading. Technology is developing quick, which means we will barely use our reading and writing abilities, or forget it.
2. How is Web 2.0 challenging us to "rethink ourselves" (ie: friendships, work, education, community, family etc...)?
Web 2.0 is challenging us to "rethink ourselves" because all the videos, and all the blogs will say stuff that are most likely wrong, which will make us over think about ourselves a lot. We believe in the Web 2.0 of everything it says, so whatever we say, we believe every single thing. It shows proof, but not real proof, but we don't know that. They make it look so real, but it's so fake. They make us rethink ourselves because when it says something like "a perfect person has ..." and we don't have it, we really rethink, am I a perfect person? Or basically something like that.

RE: Beauty - Is it Really in the Eye of the Beholder?
1. Why do you think people are portrayed this way in the media?
I think people are portrayed this way in the media because they want a lot of people to buy their product, and with a person that used it looking perfect, it'll make the person buy their item. They do this because they want someone looking very perfect for that one little product, if the person is too fat or too small, they will fix it up just like the picture of the example of how one of the photo editors did the same thing to one of their colleagues at the National Post.
2. How are you affected by the images you see?
I'm affected by the images I see because I don't want someone to change me just for the good of them self and for them to get money. It affects me because, I want people to see the real me, not someone that's fixed up a lot if I was to model. I'm affected because seeing someone being fixed up so much, it's just sad that the company can't just leave the littlest bad detail of that model. And also, thinking of all the people who want to model but can't cause their "too fat" or "too short" it's just way to mean.
3. What can be done to reduce the amount of young men and women that are negatively affected by these images?
The only thing that can be done it just think positive of yourself. Why think negative? It's just a lie. Thinking positive, will make you smile, and make people around you smile. Thinking positive like saying "oh I'm looking gorgeous today" or "oh I'm not fat" keeping those in mind will carry you on with a smile throughout the whole day.
4. What would your reaction be to a magazine cover where the subject isn’t all glammed up? Is this a possible route that society should take? Why or why not?
My reaction would be VERY shocked, but a bit proud of the company. Shocked because everyone does it basically. It's just very hard to see someone not fixed. It is a possible route because if the product really does make you "beautiful" without no fix ups, people really would buy it but it would be difficult because they'd want proof.

RE: To Share or not To Share ... That is the Million Dollar Question....
1. What is your personal opinion towards file sharing? Is it right or wrong? Please explain.
In my opinion towards file sharing, I think there's nothing that bad about it. Sure it doesn't give the people that originally made it money, but it makes a lot of people happy because of viewing it and i think the views help the movie stars, directors, writers, and song writers the continue on what they are doing because they know for sure they're doing a good job. To me, I say it's both right and wrong. Right because it makes a lot of people happy viewing it for free instead of paying, wrong because it's against the law to file share or to download or make copyrights. But here's the thing, we still download so what's the point of making it against the law if everyone will for sure still do it? There is no point.
2. If you produced your own piece of art/song/movie, would you hold the same opinion?
Not really because I know for a fact that people will copyright it and let people download it free off from them, i don't care because i know I would do that as well. At least I know that people like my piece of art/my music/my movie since they downloaded it to let the world see/hear it for them self.
3. Do you feel it is morally acceptable to download copyrighted material if it is only intended for personal use?
I feel that it actually is morally acceptable to download copyrighted material if it's only intended for personal use. Personal uses as in what? To make them self's happy? To make other people happy? To help them self continue what their doing? If it's inspiring that person to do it, and to make him inspire others? If so, then yes. I feel that's acceptable because if it is helping them, then I guess I shouldn't be mad at that person if they need it for personal uses.

RE: Texting in Social Situations
1. What are your thoughts on texting in social situations?
To be honest, I am someone who texts everywhere I go no matter where I am & what situation I am in. Everywhere I go there are many people walking and texting or just sitting and texting. Myself, I do text quite often and I know that it's boring waiting for something or someone so I would instantly pull out my phone. But to be texted ALL the time, like when you're with your friends or eating & have something to do, texting should not be a distraction. Texting now a days have become peoples main priorities.
2. Do you find it rude if you’re talking to somebody and they proceed to text continuously on their cell phone?
In my opinion, I do not find it rude because I do it myself. But in other peoples perspectives and just in general, it is a very rude thing to be doing. When you're talking to someone, you would expect them to be respectful and give you their full attention. Although someone is texting, you may think that they are still listening, but most of the time, they are not. Personally I am someone you texts non-stop and people have learned not to talk to me while I am texting because 99.9% of the time, the outside world is blocked out when I am texting.
3.If you had to come up with a list of five etiquette rules for texting, what would they be?
If I were to come up with a list of five etiquette rules for texting, they would be ...
- When with people, only bring out your phone when needed.
- When eating in public, be respectful of the people around you & not text.
- If someone's trying to talk to you, give them your full attention.
- When waiting for something or someone, be mindful of what's happening around you & don't get too distracted by your texting.
- Make sure people around you are warned that you are texting so that they don't talk to you. :)
