1. How will emerging technology (ie: blogs, videos, e-readers,e-books) affect literacy?
Emerging technology affect literacy because all you're using it the keyboard and your ears and your eyes. You're not using your hands which will affect your literacy ability to write, you're not using your ears which will affect your literacy ability to read. It affects literacy because you don't write nor read because your keyboard helps you, and your just listening so you're not reading. Technology is developing quick, which means we will barely use our reading and writing abilities, or forget it.
2. How is Web 2.0 challenging us to "rethink ourselves" (ie: friendships, work, education, community, family etc...)?
Web 2.0 is challenging us to "rethink ourselves" because all the videos, and all the blogs will say stuff that are most likely wrong, which will make us over think about ourselves a lot. We believe in the Web 2.0 of everything it says, so whatever we say, we believe every single thing. It shows proof, but not real proof, but we don't know that. They make it look so real, but it's so fake. They make us rethink ourselves because when it says something like "a perfect person has ..." and we don't have it, we really rethink, am I a perfect person? Or basically something like that.
Very Nice Post!
